Simultaneously, and ever since my childhood, I have felt a strong connection with nature and its preservation. Thus, To link mobility and logistics with sustainability has been the leitmotif throughout my life. As a husband and father of two daughters,, I take up the aim of realizing smart, sustainable and social inclusive mobility through collaboration and trust. I believe we can connect people, stakes and organizations in such a way that that we increase our welfare and improve our wellbeing.“

A leading organization in smart, sustainable and social inclusive mobility
A public, private network that connects parties to work together on smart, sustainable and social mobility in the Netherlands. Connekt consists of more than 125 members, from governmental bodies, companies to knowledge institutes. Connekt also holds a network of over 500 logistics companies focusing on the reduction of greenhouse gasses throughout Europe. Connekt has a vast worldwide network with other ITS and logistics organizations. The legal entity of Connekt is a foundation.

Business delegation leader in economic trade missions led by the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and the ministry of economic Affairs (various European countries, Brazil, China, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea . Delegation leader in missions organized by Connekt and invited speaker (various European Countries, Australia, Canada, China, South Africa and USA).
Maintaining all internal and external contacts, on a national level with government, industry, science, NGO’s and other stakeholders. On international level the responsibilities include representation in international programs and organizations. Working closely together with European Union, United Nations, International Transport Forum, World Bank, Ertico, UITP and NGO’s.

Lean & Green
Founder of the not-for-profit program that currently connects over 500 European shippers, terminals, carriers, LSP’s, airports, seaports and airlines to reduce the emissions of CO2 by at least 20% within five years, and committed to the ultimate goal of zero emissions. Lean & Green has 8 offices in 7 countries (the Netherlands, Belgium (2), Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, Czech and Switzerland).

Topsector logistics
Responsible for € 120 million public/private funded logistics investment program with a 6 year lead time. Hundreds of people and organizations are partners.
Other initiatives and activities
Affiliation/start up program, DAVI (Dutch Automated Vehicle Initiative), Dutch Cycling Embassy (DCE), Green Deal ZES, Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Smart City Embassy.

Office and budget
Supervision of the bureau of 14 employees and 30 hired employees. Financial responsibilities are a yearly bureau budget responsibility of € 2,5 million and yearly program budget of € 15 million. Connekt is financed through membership fees and program budgets. In total, several hundreds of people are involved in Connekt programs. Solicitor on behalf of the Board.
